We also have experience with Java & XML Solutions, including Apache Cocoon (Daisy), Knowledge Management with Ontologies (Protege) and topic-based niche Search Engines (e.g. Finance).

Data Evolution

There is an inflection point currently at work:

• Business and Economic models built in a world of scarcity of available real-time data do not use richer data mining techniques.
• Petabytes of new data become available each new year.
• Data processing technology and bandwidth costs have fallen sharply

We use several statistical packages for empirical work: STATA, SPSS, SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner, Python Numpy and Scipy.
